Britain’s biggest ever international team is taking part in the European Short Course Championships in Dublin this weekend. This is the last time the squad will get together before the Athens Olympics and the team is sure to be focussed on good performances despite only having a mini taper for the meet – the squad has only reduced its workload by around 20% leading into the competition. With 4 British competitors in each event but only two able to progress to the semis and finals, there’s sure to be some fast swimming in the mornings.
