Hatfield win best supporters.
04:40 PM GMT : Open Relays
A very close thing in the ladies - a three way battle between Hatfield, Stockport and Plymouth - hardly anything in it at the last takeover but Hatfield had the best takeover which gave them enough momentum to win - just from Plymouth and then Stockport
For the men it was very close - you coudl throw a blanket over most of the field at the 100m mark, but the big three soon stamped their authority on the race. They couldn't separate themselves howwver - at the 200m mark there was only 3 tenths covering all three. It came down to a straight shoot out on the anchor between James Clarke and James Goddard but the backstroker had enough to give Stockport victory in the closing event and another meet best time.
04:38 PM GMT : The cannon relays are off...
...and Stockport have an unassailable 23 point lead.
04:33 PM GMT : 15 yrs medley relays
In the girls it's a Millfield - Plymouth 1-2 clear of Ipswich in third.
Salford make a strong start in the boys but it's the ubiquitous hats of Plymouth and Stockport who take control fo the race on the breaststroke leg. A fine fly leg in the Stockport quartet sets them up for another win but Plymouth are made of stern stuff, sneaking through at the end by 12 one hundredths. With another second for Stockport though, the fat lady is warming up.
04:31 PM GMT : Top swimmers
And it's a double for Stockport - James Goddard's medley win worth 944 points gets him the top male award, whicle Kerri Anne Payne's win in the same discipline with 902 points gets her the prize.
04:28 PM GMT : 13yrs Freestyle teams
A blanket finish sees Stokport take yet another relay win touching out Lincoln Vulcans.
Meanwhile the boys event is not as close but is just as exciting - Plymouth had an early lead but were chased hard by Ipswich, Stockport and Hatfield. Their depth told though as they were easy winners at the end. Stockport were second touching out Ipswich.
04:24 PM GMT : Boys 11 yrs medley team
Lincoln Vulcans had a seemingly invincible lead at the 150m, but a striking anchor swim from Stockport saw them snatch victory by 3 tenths of a second with Plymouth third.
04:21 PM GMT : 11yrs girls medley team
Bracknell take the first of the relays - their girls 11yrs team setting a new meet best time of 2:16.22 - only the second of the afternoon
04:19 PM GMT : Relays only to go....
and it's Stockport's to lose - after event 42 it's:
1 Stockport Metro SC 337
2 Plymouth Leander SC 320
3 Millfield School 292
04:16 PM GMT : The final two individuals
The open freestyles see Claudia Coleman and Vicky Cook close at the end but the Plymouth swimmer wins, with Hatfield's Cook having to settle for second.
The men's is an altogehter closer affair - not much separates the whole field, but Millfield's James Clarke has enough over the last 25m to take the win in 52.28. Simon Birch of Stockport was second in 52.99 and Plymouth's Richard Salhus was third.
04:12 PM GMT : Swallow at the double
Amy Swallow added an age group victory to her open win to touch out Plymouth's Charlotte Foulds in the 15yrs 100m breaststroke.
The boys saw Mark Conroy and Russell Smith of Plymouth and Stockport go head to head with Salford's Luke Wood - Smith got the touch in 1:07.50 and it looks increasingly like the title will be heading back to Stockport.
04:10 PM GMT : 13 yrs freestyle
Very close for this one in the boys - Jordan Sharples of Stockport and Dan Jones of Plymouth were head to head over the last 15m but the Plymouth man had the edge at the end to take the win. His teammate Laura Froshaug had won the girls event previously.
04:05 PM GMT : Goddard makes it two
James Goddard swapped into breastroke action to win the men's open race in 1:04.26 just ahead of City of Coventry's Mark Strachan and Millfield's Matt Shead. The ladies race went to Ipswich with Amy Swallow taking the touch.
03:57 PM GMT : 15yrs 100 free
Cara Purvis of Hatfield breaks up the established order, winning the girls race. The boys race is a tense and close affair - Dale Curtis of Stockport has enough in the tank to get the win in 55.57.
03:53 PM GMT : It's becoming a two horse race
Millfield are starting to drop away a little overall - they're now 15 points behind Plymouth. Bryony Campbell does her bit to keep them on track however, winning the girls 13yrs 100 fly.
The boy's race goes to BAGCAT champion Stephen King of Bracknell ahead of Dan Jones of Plymouth Leander.
03:40 PM GMT : stockport victory once more
Simon Le Couillard, deputising for James Goddard in the men's open backstroke event, adds another win to Stcokport's tally.
03:37 PM GMT : Powell adds to Stockport's tally
Another victory for the north west - Jessica Powell winning the girls 13 yrs 100 backstroke in 1:10.09. Plymouth's Matt Collier takes the boys race from Joe Clark of Millfield
03:28 PM GMT : Payne doubles up
Kerri-anne Payne doubles up to win the 100 fly - touching out Cassie Patten by 3 tenths. Lizzie Simmonds took to the water for her first swim of the day and placed 8th.
Anthony James of Plymouth reverses the order in the men's event, heading Simon LeCouillard of Stockport home and already its starting to look like a three horse race between those two and Millfield.
03:24 PM GMT : Salford break their Duck
Luke Wood of Salford pulls a classic outside smoker to win the 15yrs 100 backstroke in 59.62 - the only one under the minute and a new meet best time. Bracknells Kathryn Willis took the corresponding girls race.
03:17 PM GMT : stockport keep it going
Stockport gave City of Liverpool a significant defeat in the North West final which stands them in good stead here - certainly the wins keep coming - two more in the 11yrs 50m backstroke event consolidates their position at the head of the field.
03:15 PM GMT : 10 events down
And it's Stockport with 84 points ahead of Millfield with 80 and Plymouth on 78
03:12 PM GMT : open relays
In the ladies event, it's Plymouth Leander who touch first, overhauling early leaders Ipswich on the freestyle leg. Stockport were back in 8th - could the Ladies open section prove their achilles heel?
No such trouble for the men though as Stockport's foursome come home well clear of Millfield.
03:06 PM GMT : Another two close ones
This time there are four teams in the shake up for the victory, but it's Guildford who get the touch to take their opening win of the day in the girls 15yrs freestyle relay
In the boys event it's just as close- Millfield got the touch by 8 one-hundredths from Hatfield.
03:03 PM GMT : a new winner
And it's Plymouth Leander, crushing the opposition in the boys 13yrs freestyle relay to win by a clear 10m from a three way dogfight for second, which saw Millfield pip Hatfield and Stockport.
03:00 PM GMT : head to head = dead heat!
It's a close run thing and it's a dead heat - Stockport and Millfield share the spoils in the girls 13 yrs medley team. Millfield looked as though they had that one, but Stockport's anchor leg swimmer stuck her head down in the final 5 and got to the wall with her rival.
02:53 PM GMT : normal service is resumed
Stockport have really got the bit between their teeth and are setting their stall out early. The boys 11 yrs relay takes the victory to make it three wins and a second from the first four events.
02:50 PM GMT : Bracknell open their final account
Not quite the perfect start for Stockport - Bracknell pipped them in the girls 11yrs freestyle team off the back of a very strong third leg to take their first ever win at this level - there were only 7 one hundredths in it at the end though.
02:46 PM GMT : Stockport again
Stockport echo Liverpool's strong start as James Goddard takes the 200m medley, despite a strong finish from Millfield's Euan Dale. Goddard came home in a fast 2:01.68 - a new meet best time. Dale was also under the old meet best with 2:03.89
02:45 PM GMT : Stockport lead the way
Kerri-anne Payne takes the opening event - the 200IM in 2:17.28, well ahead of Cassie Patten who just touched out Sophie Allen of Lincoln for second.
02:37 PM GMT : We're almost off
The noise is deafening - the swimmers are ready for the first event and we'll be underway shortly.

02:10 PM GMT : The Cup final approaches
The warm up is underway for the Cup final and the atmosphere is electric. Given the amount of jumping around and dancing to YMCA amongst other 'classics' it's amazing that the kids have any energy left to swim!

Stunning race this one - Cardiff and Bournemouth battled it out in adjacent lanes for the top two spots while 5 teams were within a fingertip of third. Cardiff took the win in the end 4 tenths ahead.
12:32 PM GMT : Top Male Award
We think the top male will be Michael Rock for his 892 GB points in the 200IM - meanwhile it was his teammate Fran Halsalls' 200 IM which got her the gong.
12:29 PM GMT : It's all over bar the shouting
Liverpool put both hands on the trophy with one more win for good measure, the boy's 13yrs freestyle relay holding off some late charges from Cardiff and Perry Beeches to win.

With the individuals done, the top male and female awards are decided; Fran Halsall's 100 fly gets her the ladies prize with 925 GB points. Meanwhile the Men's prize goes to Ryan Long of Perry Beeches (although there's a little confusion over this one at the moment)

It looks like Ealing will have just too much to do as Liverpool take yet another relay win - this time the girls 11 yrs/under medley team coming home first.
12:18 PM GMT : Only the relays to go
And it looks like Liverpool's win for the taking - they have a 20 point lead over second placed Ealing with 284 points on the board.
