Sweetenham axes top swimmers
Fox Sports Australia is reporting that Bill Sweetenham has axed Mark Foster and Zoe Baker from the British Squad for the European legs of the FINA World cup, citing both swimmers as an example of how not to win. He said his "biggest concern is the likes of James Gibson being influenced by the way Mark and Zoe train." Full Story

Melbourne World Cup Results
Britain's unrested and unshaved World Cup squad is in action once again in the last round of the world cup for 2002, this time in Melburne. As with the Shanghai leg, the team contains a host of talented junior swimmers, many getting their first taste of senior international competition. IPC World Champs team heads off
Great Britain's team flew out of the country today on their way to Mar del Plata, Argentina for the 2002 IPC World Championships which run from 3rd - 13th December. Following successful showings at the Sydney Paralympics in 2000 and last year's IPC European Championships, the team has high hopes for medal success.

Yorkshire Win Inter-county Masters
Yorkshire's masters swimmers managed what their age group conterparts failed to do as they toppled defending champions Lancashire to win the 2002 Inter County Masters Competition. The competion is held in districts, with the results combined nationally before points are awarded.
