fina gives montreal back world champs

In a u-turn that has shocked the swimming world FINA has decided to return the 2005 World Swimming Championships back to Montreal, less than a month after they stripped the Canadian city of the hosting rights.
The financial problems originally behind the decision to move the event have apparently now been resolved and the meet will take place as originally planned from 17-31 July.
FINA also said that moving the event would have caused significant logistical problems and expense to many national swimming federations who had made travel and hotel bookings well before the decision to take the championships away from Montreal.
