Commonwealth Trials – mens 100 free heats

British record holder Matt Kidd led the 100 freestyle qualifiers for tonight's semi finals in a quick 50.22. Backstroke specialist Adam Ruckwood showed his versatility qualifying third in 50.90. 1998 bronze medallist Gavin Meadows, fresh back from university in the US qualified safely in 8th.

Commonwealth Trials – womens 800 free heats

Rebecca Cooke unsurprisingly led the qualifiers for the women's 800 free style form the heats. Sisters Bryony and Holly Fox, team mates of Cooke at City of Glasgow, also both made the final. 1998 Commonwealth bronze medallist Sarah Collings just missed out on the final, finishing 10th in the heats.
