The ASA has published qualifying times for next year's two national long course competitions. The GB championships will be held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield from 19th - 23rd March 2003. Bill Sweetenham's offshore training centre for up and coming British swimmers is nearing fruition. The centre, first announced publicly by Sweetenham at the British Short Course Championships in Cambridge, will be based at The Southport School (TSS) on the Gold Coast in Australia.
As part of Channel 4's series 'The Coaching Slot' Mark Foster will be appearing on the show tonight, 12th November at 7:55pm, to talk about how coaching has influenced his swimming career. Given he now coaches himself, it could make for fascinating viewing, even if only for 5 minutes.
