leeds take out speedo final
City of Leeds retained their Speedo League title with a comfortable victory in the final, held at Sheffield’s Pond’s Forge. The Yorkshire club posted a score of 288 points to finish well clear of second placed City of Coventry on 244 and Third placed Millfield on 241.

The two National Speedo League Finals for 2004 will be taking place in Sheffield today, as Britain’s top clubs battle it out for the honours. The teams will be hit this year by the absence of the Olympic team, whoa re at the French national championships, and a large contingent of Britain’s Junior swimmers away in Australia. That will have little impact on the intensity of the competition however, with everything to swim for at Pond’s Forge.
