Two big events in British swimming took place this month and the podcast was at both. British clubs had their big day out in Sheffield for the Speedo League finals and the country’s elite came together to hand out the Splash awards. Amongst others the British swimmers of the year were named.

halsall equals record
Fran Halsall equalled Melanie Marshall's British record for the 100m freestyle as she posted a time of 54.62 while competing in the Australian Age Group Championships in Perth. It is believed that this represents the fastest time ever by a 16-year-old and builds on her encouraging showing in the recent World Championships.
