Budapest looms, but Willmott has one eye on 2018

We are only 3 months into 2017 with trials for the major event of the year, the world championships in Budapest looming close on the horizon, but Aimee Willmott already has one eye trained further ahead to 2018 and the commonwealth Games to be held on the Gold coast in Australia. The London based swimmer, sponsored by Funkita, has been picked as one of the inaugural cohort of Team England athlete ambassadors and in that role, will be inputting to the preparation and planning for the trip down under next March.

Jamieson reveals depression fight as he calls time

Adidas launches swimwear made from reclaimed ocean plastic

To help highlight the risk to our oceans from discarded plastic, adidas has launched its SS17 Parley swim range made from up-cycled ocean plastic generated from used fishing nets and debris intercepted in coastal areas. This plastic is converted into a technical yarn fibre, Econyl®, a recycled material offering the same high quality and performance as the nylon usually found in wider swim apparel, but with the additional environmental benefits of using regenerated waste.
