For the past few years, Swimswam has published their top 100 prospects for the coming season as each new year rolls around. It’s interesting to see where the US focussed site ranks GB’s swimmers on a global level and to see how that opinion has changed since the previous year’s list.

People of all ages and abilities seeking a New Year fitness challenge are being encouraged to sign up for Swimathon 2023 by Olympic swimming legends Duncan Goodhew MBE and Mark Foster. The event takes place from 12th to 14th May 2023, with entries now open.

British Swimming last week named the swimmers to the two world class programme funding groups for the 2022-23 season. Everybody has bad days in training, but Tom Dean has opened up about how one of his worst sessions left him storming from pool deck in disgust. Speaking on his podcast The Weekly Freestyle, Dean explained how a tough session at the Bath NTC took him beyond his limits and led to an early departure.
