World Aquatics has announced the initial entries for the upcoming World Championships, revealing the events for the British swim team. Adam Peaty returns after over four years to compete in breaststroke events, with 16 out of 20 British swimmers participating individually.
A big British team will head to the European Short Championships at the start of December, but before they jump on a plane for Romania there’s the small matter of selection for the 2024 World Championships to be resolved, with a team due to be named at the end of November and relays sure to be a key focus.
It was a game of two halves for Britain’s swimmers as there was a veritable avalanche of medals over the last 4 days in Fukuoka, with the tally raised by 6. That gives Bob, Katie and Steve plenty to look back over as the team matched their second best ever performance at a World Championships.
