It was a weekend of the highest drama in Glasgow at the Duel in the Pool as the European team fell to the US by a solitary point after a tie breaking medley relay. That and the European Short Course Championships are the topics of conversation for Bob, Katie and Steve.
The announcement of those swimmers who British Swimming will be funding for the 2014 season produced, as expected, a great deal of debate on internet forums and social media. Inevitably there were recriminations amongst the well-wishes, not least from those directly affected or with a strong connection to the sport.

The British Swimming Coaches Association today launched a surprisingly public attack on the recruitment practises of British Swimming, prompted by the recent appointment of Olympic 1500m bronze medallists Graeme Smith to the position of National Para Swimming coach at the newly established National Para Swimming Centre in Manchester.
The University of Nevada became the latest US College to cross the Atlantic and recruit from the pool of British junior talent as they received a verbal commitment from multiple age-group medallist Jaeger Turner.
