The 42 strong Australian Olympic swimming team has been confirmed following last weeks trials. The squad was presented to the crowd at the Sydney Aquatic Centre following the conclusion of the final night of the selection meet, with one of the loudest cheers being reserved for Craig Stevens. The Australian public now waits with baited breath to hear whether Stevens will stand aside from the 400m freestyle to allow Ian Thorpe to defend his Olympic title.
