Podcast: GB News Catch up and Euro SC Preview

It’s been a few months since we were last with you and so this is a great time to catch up on the bigger stories in British Swimming over the summer. Steve, Bob and Katie consider changes of training base, comebacks, funding and British Records before taking a look forward to the year ending European Short Course Championships.

  1. Hi Pullbuoy…some questions to ask each other at next podcast review:

Is it too soon to get excited about Team GB Men’s relay podium chances in Paris?

If the stars align …meaning Peaty back close to top form, Jacob Whittle progressing again, Guy delivering both 100fly and one last big hurrah in a 200free leg, and a backstroker able to deliver a world class 100. The colour of any medalware would be very shiny.

Great swim by Ben Proud at Euro SC; could/should he not been involved in the 4 x100 relay.
Tom Dean – wonderful talent and can’t fault his stated ambition for 6 medals… but might not even make the final quartet for said 4×100 or indeed the medly relay, where others might have something to say about the freestyle leg!
Duncan Scott, quietly going about his business, could, medal in 3 relays plus 200IM, and this time, if those stars did align, become the greatest British Olympian ever…
