Rebecca Cooke unsurprisingly led the qualifiers for the women's 800 free style form the heats. Sisters Bryony and Holly Fox, team mates of Cooke at City of Glasgow, also both made the final. 1998 Commonwealth bronze medallist Sarah Collings just missed out on the final, finishing 10th in the heats.
